Q: Why is St. Aubin working with LSOL.com?

St. Aubin had been looking at providing a club to its customers that would provide an email news alert, with reports and videos on new products. After several months of discussion St. Aubin realized that it would be better to work together than to reinvent the wheel. St. Aubin Train customers would get access to a weekly email news alert and thousands of online articles and videos. LSOL.com customers would be able to get special deals on a complete product line of Large Scale Products and not just one or two manufacturers. One subscription cost too!

Q: Why is LSOL.com working with St. Aubin?

LSOL.com has always had great relationships with the major players in the Large Scale industry. Aristo, Bachmann, USA Trains and others respect the members of LSOL.com and know that they run a professional site that promotes the Large Scale industry. At a show several months ago Jon of LSOL.com met with Jon and Jason from St. Aubin. It was really amazing that their vision of growing this industry was the same as his. St. Aubin has doubled their customer service efforts and wanted to communicate better with their customers on the web. It really was a perfect fit. Each of them could concentrate on what they did best, bringing better value to each of their customer bases.

Q: Will I still get unbiased reporting from LSOL.com? 

A:	Of course. Just like we do now. Be assured that our authors will keep the same high standards that they do now. If there is a problem with an engine you will hear about it at LSOL.com. You just might also learn how to fix it at our site before anywhere else.

Q: What kind of special prices will I see by joining?

Each week LSOL.com will send an email to all Team Large Scale Members with a special offer only for members of the club. Some offers may be for an extended time, others may be for only a few units that St. Aubin is trying to blow out. The best specials will only be available to members of Team Large Scale. Regular purchases will pay the already low St. Aubin price, which many times was lower than what LSOL.com members were used to paying before this new joint effort.

Q: What happens to my LSOL.com membership? 

A:

Nothing. You are now automatically a member of Team Large Scale. Your membership has not changed, it is just that now you are part of this new team effort. Whatever date your membership was set to expire is when it will expire. You lose nothing, but gain everything. You will still have access to LSOL.com and now the weekly special sales from St. Aubin. Watch for added benefits as our relationship grows.

Q: Does this mean I have to order from St. Aubin? 

A:

The weekly specials will be offered and ordered through Jo Anne and the special Team Large Scale section of the Garden Trains Store. Regular orders for major manufacturer items can be placed at the St. Aubin web site or by phone to St. Aubin. You will pay the regular low price that St. Aubin offers, which are the lowest in the industry. If you ever have a problem, Jo Anne will be more than happy to work with you and St. Aubin. Remember we are all part of the same team now.

Q: Will LSOL.com sell anything direct? 

A:	LSOL.com will still sell smaller items, like RailClamps, Kadee Couplers, Rail Benders and Videos.

Q: Does Team Large Scale mean LSOL.com has been purchased by St. Aubin?  

A:	No. LSOL.com is still an independent company from St.Aubin. They do however have a common goal of providing the best prices, the best information, so you can have the best railroad.

Q: Does this new group mean that LSOL.com will go away?  

A:	Team Large Scale is a partnership between LSOL.com and St. Aubin. Each company will keep its own web site. Each of them will do what they know how to do best. Team Large Scale is the umbrella under which they will work together.

Q: How does Team Large Scale differ from LSOL.com and St. Aubin?

LSOL.com offered products from only a few manufacturers. St. Aubin did not do outreach to its customers on the Internet. Now with the partnership of Team Large Scale LSOL.com will offer items from all Large Scale manufacturers and St. Aubin will increase its contact with customers on the Internet. Plus, with the buying power of St. Aubin, Team Large Scale will be able to offer bigger and better opportunities for members.

Q: Will LSOL.com continue to have a store to offer merchandise to members?  

A:	Yes. http://store.GardenTrains.com, the LSOL.com online store, will still be there to meet your needs on many of the accessories that you need for your railroad. Also, all special offers for Team Large Scale members will be handled through the Garden Trains Store.

Q: Will the annual dues increase?  

A:	No. The cost to be a member of St. Aubin's and LSOL.com's Team Large Scale is the same as just being a member of LSOL.com.

Q: Will you still be providing the news and convention/train show coverage that you have in the past?  

A:	Yes. Team Large Scale, through LSOL.com, will provide the same detailed industry news and convention show information as before.

Q: Why have you made the change to Team Large Scale?

Simple. LSOL.com was looking at expanding its offering of items for sale. St. Aubin was looking at starting a club and providing news and information on the industry. Instead of competing with each other it made better sense to work together. This was not an overnight decision. Over the course of several months St. Aubin and LSOL.com got to know each other and to see how the other was truly dedicated to their expertise in the market. LSOL.com would concentrate on what it does best. (Being the eyes and ears to the Large Scale Train industry.) St. Aubin would concentrate on what it does best. (Finding great deals, providing great prices and excellent service to the Large Scale consumers.)

Q: What is the advantage to the consumer for LSOL.com and St. Aubin to create Team Large Scale?

First, you are only paying one membership fee. If LSOL.com and St. Aubin each had their own club it would either cost you twice as much, or you would have to choose one. Also, with the combined resources of LSOL.com and St. Aubin you will be getting better information faster, and more interesting and exciting items to purchase.

Q: Will you still have a web magazine published each week?  

A:	Yes. We will send out a new issue each week to Team Large Scale Members.

Q: Will I have to change my login and my member password?  

A:	No. You will use your LSOL.com login and password to access the LSOL.com site and the LSOL.com Garden Trains store for member specials. You will use your St. Aubin store login and password at the St. Aubin store. This is just like you do now. No changes.

A:	Yes. Look for the word SHOP at the top right menu of each page and click the top link from the drop down menu that says St. Aubin.

Q: Will we still be able to post our pictures through Team Large Scale?  

A:	A membership to Team Large Scale includes access to LSOL.com. So, YES, you will be able to post your photos in the LSOL.com Gallery, just like you do now.

Q: Will the old articles still be available through Team Large Scale?  

A:	A membership to Team Large Scale includes access to LSOL.com. So, YES, you will be able to read all the old and new articles in the LSOL.com Library, just like you do now.

Q: Will we still be able to update and create Garden Railroad Blogs?

Q: Will the message boards change?

The LSOL.com Workshops will remain the same. Because they are the only Large Scale message boards protected by actual user verification they are the safest place to talk. Ever person at Team Large Scale uses a real name. There are no blasts or "me to" posts. There are real questions, with direct answers.

Q: Will there still be a Tuesday Topic and live chats on Tuesday?
